Subject: Child injuries: after ride safety bar opens
A six year old child, who has epilepsy and later suffered a seizure, feared for her life when a safety bar on one of the rides allegedly malfunctioned and she had to cling on while it was still moving.
The operator of the ride did not notice that the bar had lifted as the ride continued. With force the girl was flung out of the ride and sustained multiple injuries to her back, legs and head.
The girl was rushed to hospital where she remained for two weeks in critical condition.
