Child left with scar following child accident

A mother, the litigation friend made a child injury claim on behalf of her son.  The child sustained a cut to his chin after he fell on a wet floor in a toilet and hit his chin on a sink.

There was no sign in the toilet warning the child of the wet floor. First aid was applied at the scene before the claimant was taken to hospital. His wound was glued together and was dressed.

The child did not attended school for three days after the child accident claim.

The laceration healed within a few weeks and he was left with a small scar that was only noticeable in a close inspection.

The child was not concerned by the scar.

Following the child injury claim the child was awarded £3000 in child compensation.
