A 1-year-old girl trapped her finger in the hinges of a side gate in nursery resulting in part of her finger being amputated. The child sistained constant pain for 4-5 weeks but has been left permanent defect of shortened finger. When the parents of the child was told about the accident they immidetly took her to the hospital when they was told her distal phalanx was crushed and would have to be amputated. This is when the parent’s of the child instructed a child injury solicitors to guide them to the right direction.

The child missed out on nursery and school for approximitly 3 years by attending medical appointments, physiotherapy and the GP.
